Data Curation

DESIIR applies the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and supports research teams and partners in the preparation, documentation, and harmonization of their datasets.

Data Hosting

DESIIR offers a secure digital infrastructure for hosting datasets. Our ecosystem guarantees controlled access and optimized accessibility, promoting the use and reuse of these datasets.

Data Querying

The DESIIR data portal allows users to query data from different domains simultaneously, using a search question or an interactive map.

Secure Access

Each dataset is made available through a rigorous process overseen by the DESIIR Data Access Committee in accordance with applicable ethical and legal standards.

Why use DESIIR?

The DESIIR project (Données Environnementales et de Santé Intégrées pour une Infrastructure de Recherche) is a digital infrastructure project at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi. Its objective is to create a single digital ecosystem to consolidate and enhance research data, as well as data from partners, generated in Quebec. This intersectoral approach connects data related to the environment, physical health, psychosocial health, culture, and population structure to address complex health challenges within a sustainable health framework.

Environment

Environmental health data from across Quebec

Culture

Data relating to the cultural elements structuring practices within a society

Population Structure

Data on demographic and historical characteristics as well as genetic structure

Physical Health

Data on physical health conditions

Psychosocial Health

Data on the psychological and social factors that influence overall health

Explore Datasets

Any dataset related to sustainable health with a global focus can be hosted within DESIIR’s digital ecosystem. This ecosystem brings together data from various domains, including the environment, physical health, psychosocial health, culture, and population structure.

Each dataset is carefully documented according to the FAIR principles to ensure its quality, accessibility, discoverability, and reusability.
